Our Inner Resource provides us with an internalized felt-sense of security and well-being that we can return to that can bring feelings of security and well-being at anytime during our daily life....when we feel overwhelmed by an emotion, belief, image, memory, or other experience. This Inner Resource is a tool that helps us feel relaxed and in control.
To help discover your unique Inner Resource, take a few moments right now and bring to mind a special place, a person, an event, image, or anything that when thinking of it, brings a felt-sense of peace and calm. Once you have the memory, open yourself to "Being" within this memory and become familiar with the sensations within your body that go along with the memory.
Gradually, let go of everything else and practice "Being". Being is a universal felt-sense that we all experience. Being is a quiet, background presence, or felt-sense that's always with you, but that can go unnoticed. So, begin "Being"....
Notice how Being has always been with you. Notice how the feeling of Being is a feeling that you directly experience. Notice the feeling of Being is beyond your ability to describe with words...yet is undeniably present and accessible.
